Corrosion Assessments
At Vision Integrity, our goal is simple: help you find the corrosion before it finds you.
Corrosion Assessments
Corrosion is one of the most persistent threats to pressure equipment and piping. Companies invest significant resources repairing damage and attempting to predict future failures, but the most effective strategy is to identify and manage corrosion before it becomes critical. At Vision Integrity, our goal is simple: help you find the corrosion before it finds you.
A Proven Approach
Every corrosion scenario is unique, but our methodology is built on a consistent foundation of validation, risk ranking, and mitigation. This ensures recommendations are based on real data, aligned with company priorities, and designed to help prevent costly unplanned events.
Validate Asset Data
By validating asset data, we establish a reliable baseline for every assessment.
Validate Asset Data
Our process begins by confirming the information available for each asset. This includes field walk-downs, discussions with operating personnel, review of drawings, analysis of past inspection data, and evaluation of previous failures or anomalies. By validating asset data, we establish a reliable baseline for every assessment.
Risk Rank
We then perform a Risk Ranking to prioritize equipment based on likelihood and consequence of failure. Depending on client needs, this may involve aligning with an existing company risk matrix or applying benchmarked parameters proven across multiple industry operators. The result is a clear, defendable picture of which assets require attention first. We are familiar with and work in many IDMS (Integrity Data Management System) platforms to assist in calculating Risk and overall asset data management. Such platforms include GE-APM, Visions Metegrity, PCMS, and others.
Mitigate
Finally, we establish mitigation strategies for high-risk equipment. These may include the development of inspection plans, recommendations for repair or replacement, or immediate risk-control measures such as composite wraps or temporary line shutdowns. Each mitigation strategy is practical, actionable, and tailored to the asset and its operating environment.
Why Vision Integrity
Corrosion assessments are only valuable if they lead to effective action. At Vision, we combine engineering judgment with inspection expertise to deliver results that operators can trust. From initial data gathering through risk ranking and mitigation, our process
