Pressure Equipment Integrity Management

At Vision Integrity, we deliver full-scope support across the entire lifecycle—from design reviews and alterations, to Fitness-for-Service assessments, repairs, and record management.

Pressure Equipment

Safe, reliable pressure equipment is the backbone of every facility. At Vision Integrity, we deliver full-scope support across the entire lifecycle—from design reviews and alterations, to Fitness-for-Service assessments, repairs, and record management. Our team combines engineering expertise, regulatory knowledge, and decades of field experience to help clients build, operate, and maintain programs that keep assets compliant, efficient, and safe.

Pressure Equipment Integrity Management

Vision designs and implements Pressure Equipment Integrity Management (PEIM) programs that reflect the needs of each client. A strong program accounts for the entire lifecycle of an asset—verifying designs, setting inspection intervals, overseeing repairs, and planning retirement strategies. Our engineers and inspectors work together to develop programs that align with regulatory requirements while delivering real operational value. Whether you need a complete program built from the ground up or improvements to an existing system, we create solutions that maximize equipment life and reduce risk.

Chief Inspector Services

Chief Inspectors provide the structure, accountability, and decision-making required for a successful PEIM program.

Chief Inspector Services

Our in-house Chief Inspectors provide the leadership and oversight necessary to run formal integrity management programs. With years of experience across industries, they ensure programs meet regulatory obligations while supporting the day-to-day realities of plant operations. We bring innovation and flexibility to the role, offering creative solutions to unique challenges while maintaining a strong focus on safety. By integrating seamlessly with your team, our Chief Inspectors provide the structure, accountability, and decision-making required for a successful PEIM program.

PEIM for Smaller Companies

Not every company has the same resources or risk profile. Smaller operators often face the challenge of meeting the same regulatory requirements as larger organizations but with fewer personnel and tighter budgets. Vision specializes in creating right-sized PEIM programs that are practical, affordable, and compliant. We strip away unnecessary complexity while ensuring all critical elements are in place. This tailored approach gives smaller companies the confidence that their integrity program meets obligations without stretching resources thin.

Design Review

Our independent perspective allows owners to make informed decisions, avoid overspending, and confirm that designs are both compliant and practical for their facility.

Design Review

Even when Vision is not the original designer, our engineers play a crucial role in reviewing third-party design packages. This ensures that proposed equipment not only meets code requirements but also aligns with the client’s operational needs and budget. Smaller clients, in particular, benefit from this service when faced with approving costly and complex equipment. Our independent perspective allows owners to make informed decisions, avoid overspending, and confirm that designs are both compliant and practical for their facility.

API 579 Fitness-for-Service

When inspection results reveal damage, corrosion, or deviations from design, the default reaction is often replacement. However, Vision’s API 579 Fitness-for-Service (FFS) assessments provide a more nuanced solution. These evaluations determine whether equipment can safely remain in service under defined limits, often avoiding expensive repairs or premature replacements. Vision Integrity provides right-size FFS solutions depending on extent of damage found and client needs; including API 579 FFS Level 1, Level 2, and full FEA Level 3.

Because ABSA approval is required for API 579 assessments, Vision’s experience guiding clients through the process is invaluable. We prepare comprehensive reports, interface with regulators, and provide operators with actionable recommendations. Whether it’s a localized thin area or a complex flaw, our FFS work ensures you make decisions based on data and code-backed engineering, not guesswork.

Design Alteration

Changing critical information on a U1A manufacturer’s data report—such as pressure, temperature, or service limits—requires an alteration approved by ABSA’s Design Survey.

Design Alteration

Changing critical information on a U1A manufacturer’s data report—such as pressure, temperature, or service limits—requires an alteration approved by ABSA’s Design Survey. Vision Integrity manages this process from start to finish, preparing the required documentation and securing approvals efficiently. With our knowledge of both the technical requirements and the regulatory process, we help clients avoid delays and unnecessary costs, while ensuring their equipment remains compliant and ready for operation.

Record Management

A successful PEIM program depends on accurate and accessible records. Vision Integrity has developed an in-house database system designed to give owners full control of their data. Unlike outdated platforms that lock clients into subscription fees and overcomplicated processes, our system is streamlined, transparent, and easy to use. Clients own their information outright and can access it without barriers. By simplifying record management, we reduce costs and improve confidence in integrity data.

Repairs to Pressure Equipment

Pressure equipment repairs require careful planning and execution to ensure long-term reliability.

Repairs to Pressure Equipment

Pressure equipment repairs require careful planning and execution to ensure long-term reliability. Vision Integrity provides comprehensive repair services, from scope development and planning, to supervision and execution. We balance quality and efficiency so that equipment is returned to safe service as quickly as possible, minimizing downtime while maximizing performance.

ASME Alterations and Replacement Nameplates

Over time, equipment specifications may change, or nameplates may become lost or damaged. Vision Integrity performs ASME-compliant alterations and manages the process of issuing replacement nameplates. This includes pressure and temperature modifications that extend the life of assets, often avoiding costly replacements by adjusting code calculations to match actual operating conditions.

For equipment with low UT thickness readings, we can reduce required material thickness, secure regulatory approval, and provide a new nameplate with updated data. We also perform cyclic service alterations, extending safe operating life beyond the original specification. When nameplates need replacement, our team ensures the process is quick, compliant, and thoroughly documented.

Why Vision Integrity

Pressure equipment represents both significant investment and significant risk. Vision Integrity provides clients with confidence by covering every stage of the lifecycle—program development, engineering assessments, repairs, alterations, and regulatory compliance. With experienced Chief Inspectors, knowledgeable engineers, and proven systems, we offer more than services: we deliver complete programs built on integrity, safety, and long-term reliability.
